This article is my personal opinion and personal observation only, but I have visitedpet stores lately that have had delta tail bettas labeled as Half Moons. I have never seen a true HalfMoon in a pet store. Please be sure to study what a true half moon betta is before you pay for one that is only a delta. A Half Moon has a true 180 degree spread in his caudal fin and sharp edges. The faux (for lack of a better word) half moons I have seen in pet stores are Delta tailed bettas - not half moons. Deltas and SuperDeltas are fine fish, but know that is what you are buying. Don't think a Delta or SuperDelta is a HalfMoon when it is not.
